Description

As Office Manager, you are responsible for the day-to-day activities and management of the office. Tasks include: managing the office, answering the phone, record keeping, payroll, as well as interacting with company associates, vendors, and customers. The best candidate will also proactively analyze existing administrative procedures and apply new processes in which they can be improved.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years experience as an Office Manager

  • A degree in business administration, communications, or any related field is a bonus but not required

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with priorities such as Word and Excel

  • Proficient in Quick Books with at least one year’s experience

  • Be a multi-tasker that proactively and independently performs their job and managers other office personnel 

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

  • Strong conflict resolution skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills

  • Advanced computer skills, with an aptitude to learn new systems and procedures
     

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the work of the office and employees, to ensure the company runs productively while meeting deadlines and upholding company standards 

  • Answering telephone calls and emails from employees, customers, and clients and directing them to relevant staff as needed

  • Analyzing existing administrative procedures and coming up with ways in which they can be improved

  • Review the facility’s bookkeeping and accounting policies and procedures periodically, at least annually, and make recommendations

  • Create an office budget and ensuring it is followed

  • Monitoring office supplies and ordering new stationery, furniture, appliances, and electronics as required

  • Interviewing and training new office employees and organizing their employment paperwork

  • Supervise and train newly hired office personnel

  • Review and improve current office management practices of financial recordkeeping to include ledgers, recording payments, writing receipts, posting cash journals, preparing and making bank deposits, etc.
     

Position

  • 40-hour work week (plus as needed)
     

Compensation

  • An annual salary of $40,000 to $60,000 depending on work history, education, industry experience

  • Benefits
