Description

ShurGreen Farms, LLC., is looking to hire a licensed truck driver responsible for the safe and timely pickup and delivery of goods from our customers and delivery back to our facilities. You will be tasked with driving routes using ShurGreen Farms trucks and other assorted commercial vehicles assigned to you and working closely with our operations team to plan routes and track deliveries.

We combine deep industry expertise with expansive facilities and a wholly-owned fleet of trucks, dry vans, tankers, semi-trailers, roll-off lidded containers, and refrigerated trailers. We serve customers in the food, beverage, liquid sludge, and packaging industries.

Qualifications

  • A valid driver’s license

  • English language skills to communicate clearly and effectively - Spanish is a plus

  • A Class A CDL or commercial driver's license is recommended but not required

  • One (1) year of experience is not required but appreciated

  • High school or equivalent (preferred)

  • Must be able to work and drive in all weather conditions
     

Responsibilities

  • Performs any duties as directed by the supervisor

  • Accurately perform a pre-trip inspection that includes tires, fuel, oil, etc.

  • Physically fit to perform duties as assigned

  • Report road incidents and mechanical issues to the dispatcher/operations

  • Follow traffic laws

  • Follow company accident and reporting procedures

  • Have flexibility for start times, sending time, and scheduling

  • Maintain a positive attitude with customers and coworkers

  • Ability to pass DOT drug test

  • Ability to work additional hours and occasional weekends to meet business needs

 

Position

  • Full-time - hourly

  • Year-round work at 40 hours per week on average, with options to work additional hours

  • Solo Driving

 

Compensation

  • Pay options

    1. Starting hourly rate of $21.00

    2. $.50 per mile

    3. Load pay

    4. The final option will be decided during your interview
